P.I.C.: the Prison Industrial Complex

The prison industrial complex is where race, class and gender intersect. It is the new plantation. Capitalism and the profit from the sale of human beings as "criminals" creates a new economy; both the government and corporations share in the benefits.

While the system of Arbitrary Justice prevails, the United States of America has the largest prison population in the world. This play exposes the role of the media, capitalism, the education system and the criminal justice system as primary players in the game.
